Topic Proposal
1. The reformation of the health education system for public high schools in Madison, Wisconsin to educate the students about safe sex (specifically at James Madison Memorial High School).
2. The way that sexual health and education is taught in this school does not properly educate the population on the given subject matter due to the fact that it is taught with religion in mind and refuses to acknowledge any possible pleasure from sex, any LGBTQ+ representation, and any proper education on how to actually have a kid if and when you're ready to do so. The system needs to be reformed to keep the teens informed and destigmatize sex because of the awful repercussions it's having right now by not doing so.
3. Sex education is something that needs to be clarified because whatever we're teaching now is still promoting rape culture and sexual harassment and assault in addition to victim blaming and we need to empower everyone and give them the chance to feel safe and live their best life and not be held back by anything.
